I attended fifth grade while living in America. My experience in America was extraordinary and unforgettable! I felt in love with the culture, language and of course beautiful scenery. I never thought I was going to spend more time living in the States after my very first trip, but to my big surprise I ended up doing exactly that, let me explain!
On my second trip to The U.S. my stay there was way longer, in reality America became my new home. I spent 25 years of my life living in Los Angeles, California. During those years I worked in retail, sales, and customer service. I studied marketing at Cerritos Community College in the city of Norwalk, and Theology at Calvary Chapel Bible College in the city of Downey.
I was also a youth leader for seven years at my local Church in the city of South Gate. The kids from the youth group were in general bilingual kids, but frequently we had visitors that either spoke English only or spoke Spanish only. In those occasions, I would do the teaching in both languages to cover the communication gap. I also translated several times for the Church Senior Pastor when ever necessary. I recently moved down to Sao Paulo, Brazil. I`ve been living in Brazil now for a year and half now. I am currently learning and practicing Portuguese every day.
Furthermore I recently had the great opportunity to fill in for an English Teacher and friend at a Freight Company in the city of Santos-SP for a couple months. It was definitely and amazing experience for both the students and myself. I had many vivid stories to share with the students about life in the USA. I would love to keep growing in every area of my life and would definitely love to share my experiences and knowledge with those who like me, are excited and willing to grow.
