I originally did business training so that I could apply my knowledge as an external auditor in practice, analyzing the financial-accounting health and business processes of the most different client organizations. Several years later, I completely changed my disciplinary focus from accounting sciences to academic in control mechanisms from the strategic point of view and management information systems of the firm during my journey in the master's degree and, later, soon after completion of the master's degree, I started my focus conducting research in various related areas. From the beginning of my doctorate I had another change in terms of my area of study concentration: I started to focus on research in innovation management, digital technological innovation; collaborative innovation, open innovation, entrepreneurship; Industry 4.0, digitization process and organizational digital transformation journey.
My research is considered by my fellows to be of high quality. My academic works are considered highly dedicated and rich in analysis. I am recognized for my style and approach, both in writing and in conversation that is collaborative and engaging. Not only while I was in the UK for research purposes and to gain new experience in teaching undergraduate students, I worked to engage with tactical and strategic level employees at large UK manufacturing companies as well as a number of academic experts and practitioners on Digital Transformation. ICT skills that I have been using heavily since 2013 to manage my work, whether in teaching or research, and to collaborate effectively with students, or other partners:
- Different virtual meeting platforms (Meets, Skype, Zoom and especially Teams platform that I also use to help me manage group research projects);
- Collaborative Dropbox folders
- Intense use of videos that succinctly clarify or exemplify through some real case study the theme of each class
- At each beginning of class, I usually do a brief recap of the previous class in an interactive way with the students (use of online Quiz)
-Corporate intranets of HEIs to manage (view, upload, make use of chats) research, classes, institutional newsletters.
